New Years in a Cave

It has to go down as 4 of the most beautiful days of my life.
The Southern Drakensberg from the 30th of December 2008 to the 2nd of Jan 2009. Four of us hiked in with food, tents and waterproof everything, resolved to bid 2008 goodbye and take 2009 by storm.

A list of highlights:
Prancing  Eland,
Carnivorous mountain dwelling plants
Threatening thunderstorms
3 skinnydips a day
Saw-Wing Swallows
Thai green curry made on a camping stove
Photos, photos, photos.
More wildflowers than I thought existed
Jackal and Baboon
Lung tearing mountain ascents
Psychedelic grass colours
Waterfalls
Caves
Scorpions
Near death tumbles

Good times.
